It's that time of the year again! A new beginning. A fresh start. A new year. New resolutions. New goals.
My goal's from Fall seem like a faded memory, and SO much has changed since I made them. We were on our journey to buying a house then, but since I kicked that life-sucking job's ass out of my life that has been put on hold. My goals this season are much more quality of life oriented, the way it should be right?
1. Get a handle on planning my wedding: YES! I am engaged! I am getting married this August, and although I've been engaged for almost a year now, the plans have yet to really start. Jerdy and I have already talked about sending the save the dates, booking hotel rooms, etc. We've got our location and our food, but that's it. Now for the exciting stuff! The dress, the crafts, the details. :)
2. Find a job that doesn't eat my soul: Unfortunately, I HAVE to work. We just can't afford me crafting and cooking all day. But, I have a plan to utilize my accounting skillz at a temp agency and bounce around until I find something that really fits. This goal also includes taking a much needed month or two off from working so much. I need time to regroup, time to get my life back. I'm excited to spend some quality time with myself, figuring out my next step.
3. Open my Etsy shop. And get crafty!!!: I've got soooooo many ideas for my shop. I've got a handful of hand made wine stoppers (like this one) already made, and am really looking forward to spending some time on this while working on #2. If you've got any tips for me, I would LOVE to hear them!
4. Have weekly date nights with Jared: This is the one that I most look forward to. With my sinking depression from my job (wait..... my OLD job!), a lot of our romance took a back seat. I miss my fiance, and I know he misses me too. He is so supportive and amazing, I'm devoting a date night every week. Whether we just hang in and watch a movie, or go out on the town together, it's gonna happen. No excuses.
I would love to hear your goals for this season!!!! I've got about a thousand little New Year's resolutions too, but these are my bigguns.

Ha, Trish! Our goals are almost identical! I'm really trying to get wedding planning mode and my etsy shop is almost ready to launch!
