Oh January, I will miss you for your lazy coffee drinking mornings, responsibility free days, and cuddly nights. Thank you for allowing me to begin to let go, and rid my life of toxic shit.
The end of December was really rough for me. I had a string of sicknesses, including getting food poisoning on Xmas day, and leaving my abusive and stressful job. January was all about recovery. Taking it easy and trying to mentally focus on just me. I spent most of it being depressed on my couch, but hey, you know, first step right.
February, I look forward to you! I'm excited to start my new ventures and follow that road to who knows where.
Here were some highlights in January:
I talked about my life change, and how the new year seemed like a great time for a new start.
I made some super delish eggnog pops.
I received a box of very pretty gifts from a very pretty lady.
I made my house smell wintery with some simmering potpourri.
Jared and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary.
More adventures in booze infusing! This time: earl grey gin.
I tried Nutella for the first (world = blown), and made some tasty nutella hot chocolate.
Made my first pom-pom, bookmark style.
Shared some of our engagement shots.
Started a new January tradition.
Looking forward to a new month, with new possibilities.
Trish

Being depressed isn't really what you wish for, but sometimes I think you need to go through these hard times as well. You'll get out on the other side, stronger and happier!
