BOO!
Happy Halloween everyone! One of the best days of the year. I didn't really have the drive to create an awesome costume this year, for reasons that I'll discuss when I'm ready, but I certainly needed at least a LITTLE gory bloody Halloween spirit. The one day of the year I can be as nasty, oozy, zombi-fied as I want!
I've been seeing this bloody nails DIY floating around for a while, and it was the perfect easy Halloween "not costume". Perfect.
To create this look at home, all you need is some toothpicks and some red nail polish. Polish remover and paper towels on hand are sort of a must also.
Begin by dipping a toothpick into your nail polish bottle, until it forms a bit of a drip bubble on the end. Not a huge one, just a little one. Create 2-3 strokes with the toothpick, starting in the middle of your nail and painting outward, to form a "drip." Do this for all of your nails.
Grab the brush cap and paint a line around the top of your nails. No need to be perfect here, but if you mess up, you can always dip a toothpick into the polish remover and clean it up a bit.
Ta-da! You've got creepy grody nails. So lovely.
It's been a really rough couple of weeks friends. Cheers to some Halloween fun and as much candy as I want!
Have a happy and safe Halloween,
Trish

Your Halloween playlist!
Hey blogger friends!
Bust our your witch hats and bowl o candy and shake shake senora to this spooky playlist. This list could seriously be about 200 songs long, but I narrowed it to 20 (barely!).
What are your fave Halloween tunes?
Happy Sunday and Happy almost Halloween!

DIY Mini mummy pumpkin
Dudes...... check out this cute little mumpkin.....
CUTEST EVER! I adore this little guy. I've had a handful of these little mini pumpkins floating around my apartment for the last month or so, and just had to give the little orange one a makeover. All you need is some cheesecloth, scissors, rubber cement or other adhesive, eyeballs of sorts, and a pumpkin.
Here's how to make this cutie pie:
1. Cut your cheesecloth into 1.5" x 4" strips
2. Glue a single layer of cheesecloth around the pumpkin.
3. Glue the eyeballs on.
4. Wrap the pumpkin in cheesecloth, slightly covering the tops and bottoms of the eyeballs until you have your desired "mummy" thickness.
5. You have a mumpkin!
I'd love to hear your mini pumpkin ideas! I wanted to do a little vampire, but I haven't had any luck finding plastic vampire teeth. WHAT!? Unheard of, but unfortunately true.
Happy Halloween friends!

The wedding photos {part 2}
Here are the rest of the photos my friends!
Check out my nervous face walking down the aisle! Oh my gosh.......
I really wish we had more photos of the dancing. The photographer took off right before it got a little wild and crazy. Maybe it's a good thing I don't have photos of my drunk ass dancing like a..... well like a drunk bride! There are a couple of candid shots in there that friends took. Notice my bare feet and Jerdy serenading me during a dance? ha!
All of the pro photos were taken by Rebecca Ellison. She was just the best. Ever. I love her. If you are having a wedding in the Seattle area I highly recommend her. Such a sweetheart. If you are interested in seeing more of these photos, just shoot over an email and I'll send you a link to all of them.
Well...... hope you are all having a great weekend!

Spooky eyeball martini garnishes
Happy almost Halloween friends! It's no secret around here that I adore ALL things Halloween. Scary, cheesy, ridiculous, candy-filled, neon orange, bloody, whatever it may be, I LOVE IT!
I borrowed this idea from the good ole' Martha powers that be. These are spooky but cute little martini garnishes made out of radish and olive. BUT...... they look like eyeballs! YES!
Here's how:
To make 6 eyeballs, you will need 6 radishes, 3 pimento stuffed green olives, and 3 toothpicks.
1. Wash and cut the stems and bottoms off of your radishes.
2. peel stripes in the skin, making a red and white striped "eyeball."
3. Dig a small pit in the larger cut side of your radish, large enough for half an olive to burrow into.
4. Cut your olives in half and push into the pit hole in the radish, cut side up so the pimento shows well.
5. I ended up having to break toothpicks in half and use them to hold the olives in place. You may or may not have to do this.
These really only took about 10 minutes to make, and are such a cute and festive way to get a little creative for your next cocktail this season. Or maybe freak people out by looking as creepy as I do here. ha!
Got any plans for Halloween? I'm thinking about dressing Tootsie up as "sexy puppy." She is about 16 in dog years at this point. Seems appropriate eh?
Have a great week friends!
